Psychedelic medicine and expanded consciousness experiences are being researched and recognized for their healing potential all over the world. Here in the Midwest, we have academic and scientific study, and we also have vibrant community engaged in the cultural, political, spiritual, and personal impact of psychedelic experience. As a community-based group, the Madison Psychedelic Society focuses on public discourse around psychedelic experience, connecting the science, policy and philosophy of movement leaderships with the hearts and minds of individuals, families, and daily life. Join us in the psychedelic community movement for a day of inspiring local presenters, participatory discussions, and connection with like-minded neighbors!
MPS grew out of grassroots symposia conversations, and a yearning for ongoing community. We host monthly meetings and events designed to create public discourse and connection. We had hoped to host another day-long symposium this year, first in April, and then postponed when the pandemic began. Like you, I'd hoped we would be able to see the end of the pandemic by now, but it doesn't look like the environment will be safe to host a symposium this October. To foster local community and further psychedelic culture in everyday life, we are committed to hosting an in-person event. Thank you so much for your support, enthusiasm, and participation in making our local psychedelic community strong and vibrant! We look forward to finding a time in 2021 to rekindle the Midwest Psychedelic Healing Symposium.
